SUBJECT: North Fair Oaks Council Referral and Noticing Procedures
The following outlines the procedure for project referrals to the North Fair
Oaks Community Council. This is in an effort to expedite reviews by the Council
as well as keep the neighborhood informed about new projects. If you have a
project that needs to be referred to the North Fair Oaks Community Council,
adhere to the following procedure:
1. Planners send out the entire referral package (plans and applications) to
all members of the Council (large set to the President, reduced set to remaining
members)
2. The referrals must be sent prior to the NFOCC subcommittee meeting, which
is the fourth Thursday of every month.
3.At the subcommittee meetings, Planning representative and the Council will
decide which items will be placed on the following months full council agenda.
4. The President of the Council will make sure those items are on the agenda
and the planning representative will let the project planner know if their item
will be on the next month's agenda.
5. Project planner then sends out a notice (see attached as well as the notice
is located in the P drive in Word), to property owners within 300 feet, informing
those neighbors that the project will be discussed and evaluated by the NFOCC
at the next meeting. This notice must be sent 10 days prior to the full Council
Meeting, which is every third Thursday of every month.
6. The Council will review the project at their full Council meeting. If a recommendation is made, the President will then send the Project Planner a written letter detailing the recommendation of the Council.
