City's parks & Recreation resoures
Caron Youth Activities Program
Provides activities for at-risk youth ages 10-17, including field
trips and referrals to youth programs in the area. For more
information, call 599-1186.
Police Activities League
(PAL for 2nd - 12th Graders)
The Redwood City PAL in cooperation with the Sheriff
Activities League (SAL), Peninsula Boys and Girls Club and the Redwood
City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department host a variety
of youth sports activities for youth throughout the community. Over
3,000 youth participate in sports programs including Flag football,
Street Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Basketball and Jr. Giants Baseball.
Cost: $10 per sport, includes uniform participants
can keep.
Coaches: Trained Volunteer Coaches, Redwood City Police
Officers and San Mateo County Sheriff Officers.
Practices: Practices are scheduled by each individual coach
assigned to each school site. Coaches will notify players on exact practice
times. Game days will vary but held Monday-Thursdays.
Location: Red Morton Community Center, Peninsula Boys
and Girls Club, and Garfield School
Program flyers will be distributed to each school site.
